My name is Angie K.
SG Wood & Wick began with a simple goal: to create a meaningful business that could one day grow into something much bigger. What started as a search for a new opportunity quickly became a true passion after I discovered the art and science of candle making.
I soon realized that creating a quality candle involves far more than melting wax and adding fragrance. I dedicated months to learning every aspect of the craft—from creating candles that burn safely and cleanly to selecting premium ingredients that deliver a beautiful, lasting experience. Along the way, I also immersed myself in learning what it takes to build a small business with integrity, purpose, and a commitment to excellence. Even today, I continue to learn and refine every product I create because I believe there is always room to improve.
At SG Wood & Wick, my mission extends beyond making candles. I want each piece to bring warmth, comfort, and moments of joy into your home. Whether it's the calming glow at the end of a long day or a fragrance that brings back a favorite memory, my hope is that every product creates a space where people can slow down, reconnect, and simply enjoy being home.
I'm equally passionate about creating pieces that are as beautiful as they are functional. My goal is to design products that become conversation starters—unique pieces that guests notice, admire, and ask about long after they've entered the room. I believe the products we choose for our homes should not only reflect our style but also bring us happiness every time we see or use them.
This business is also deeply personal to me. While building a small business requires countless evenings and weekends, I see it as an investment in my family's future. My hope is that one day SG Wood & Wick will allow me to spend less time away from home working a traditional full-time job and more time building something meaningful alongside my children. I look forward to the day they can help create, package, and grow this business with me, learning the value of hard work, creativity, and pursuing a dream.
